Our History
Truck-Man was established in 1994, and when it first started out it was just a two person business selling step vans out of the Thompson's home, then eventually moved into an office in Jackson. Business started picking up so well, and demand started flooding our steps that we eventually had to get a bigger place, and why not be seen, so Truck-Man's new home is now off Hwy 49 South in Richland, Mississippi.
Phillip and Phyllis have two daughters and grandchildren to follow, and needed a way to spend more time with them. In searching for a way to accomplish that goal, they stumbled on the idea of owning their own camper. To this day, they still say it was one of the best purchases they have made. By purchasing an RV they noticed it sparked the interest of their daughters, and eventually ended up with more family time. They were so pleased with the outcome that they decided they wanted to give other people the opportunity to experience the same. So, they went from selling Step Vans to selling RV's. It was definatly a process to get where we are today. But through God's grace and guidance, we blessed to have a successful business. Because of the success with Truck-Man, we have now opened up a sister business called Cart Man, Inc. Cart Man is a distributor and dealer of Ruff & Tuff carts, Yamaha Golf Carts, Tiger Trucks, and other off road vehicles. Not only do they sale Golf Carts but they also upfit and repair them as well. Through our courteous staff and team effort, we pray that we will be able to continue to see our business grow and bring more people closer to their family and friends.
